Glazing
Glass Options
Choose from a broad range of practical and decorative glazing to finish your door.
Toughened
Heat-treated for strength: it takes far more force to break, and breaks into small, rounded pieces that are less likely to cause injury.
Laminated
A clear interlayer bonds two panes together, so if the glass is broken the pieces stay put rather than falling away.
Opaque / obscure
Textured or frosted glazing that keeps a glazed door private without shutting out the light.
Featured designs
A choice of decorative glass patterns to add individual character while keeping a timeless look.
Privacy
Obscure Glazing
Patterned and textured glass keeps the light while restricting the view, ideal for private rooms.
Privacy where you need it
Perfect for bathrooms, en-suites, ground-floor rooms and glazed front doors.
Classic textures
Subtle, traditional patterns that suit period and cottage homes.
Contemporary designs
Bolder, modern textures for a clean, current look.

Timber Door FAQs
Common questions about our timber doors. Cannot see yours? Just ask.
Who are Sussex Timber Windows?
Sussex Timber Windows is a trading name of Shaws of Brighton, a long-established Sussex glazing and joinery installer. We supply British-made timber windows and doors and fit them with our own experienced local team. You can read more about us here.
Can I see the windows before I buy?
Yes. Our parent company Shaws of Brighton has a showroom at 8-9 Centenary Industrial Estate, Hughes Road, Brighton BN2 4AW, where you can see timber windows and doors in person. Get in touch to arrange a visit.
Do you supply doors as well as windows?
Yes. Alongside our timber windows we supply a full range of timber doors, from entrance and French doors to stable doors, bi-folds and sliding patios. Ask us for details when you enquire.
What happens after I request a quote?
We talk through your requirements and send an initial quote. If you would like to proceed, we arrange a site survey to measure precisely and confirm the specification, before your windows are made to order.
How long does it take?
Timber windows are made to order, so lead times vary with the season and specification. We will give you a realistic timescale with your quote, and keep you updated through manufacture and installation.
How disruptive is the installation?
We work room by room, protect your floors and furnishings, and tidy up fully at the end of each day. Most installations are completed quickly and cleanly by our own experienced fitters.
